Apprentice electricians needed in Cedar Rapids for commercial, industrial and institutional electrical projects. An Iowa apprentice license is not required at this rate: $47 an hour plus $100 a day per diem for qualifying candidates.
Hours are 50 a week with a 6:15 AM start, and the project is expected to run about eight months.
The work is conduit and cable tray, coordinating and assisting on large cable pulls, switchgear, transformers and distribution panels, fire alarm and control systems, wiring, terminations and equipment installation. You should be able to read blueprints and electrical schematics and work with minimal supervision.
Apprentice-level electrical experience is required, and commercial or industrial experience is preferred. Reliable transportation and a dependable work history are expected.
If you already hold the Iowa apprentice license, the same crew is hiring at $58 an hour plus $135 a day per diem.
