Advanced Tradesmen is hiring a Utility Locator for a directional-bore crew near West Wendover, NV. Underground utility project, about 3 months of work, starting right away.
Pay: Labor Group 6 scale plus zone pay. The current Northern Nevada rural prevailing determination has Group 6 at $52.83/hr, and the Wendover area carries an $8.00/hr zone adder on top of it - $60.83/hr. Benefits are paid separately, weekly.
Scope of work:
- Locate and mark existing underground lines ahead of the bore - power, gas, water, comm
- Work off prints, utility maps, and one-call (811) marks; verify with potholing where it counts
- Walk the bore path with the locator and track the drill head for the operator
- Keep locates documented and the crew clear of utility strikes
Requirements:
- Experience running electromagnetic locating equipment on utility or pipeline work
- Comfortable reading utility prints and as-builts
- Able to pass a background check and drug test
- Reliable transportation to the jobsite
