Low voltage electricians needed in Plain City, Ohio for the installation of HVAC Building Automation System (BAS) controls on a new classroom addition, integrating with the district's existing Distech Controls system.
What you'll do
- Install and terminate low-voltage control wiring
- Pull low-voltage cabling for HVAC systems
- Install, wire and verify connections for HVAC control devices - VAVs, RTUs, CUHs, exhaust fans, thermostats and temperature sensors
- Install raceways and bend conduit as needed
- Work from scissor lifts while maintaining safety standards
- Make sure installations comply with project specifications and electrical codes
What you need
- Knowledge of low-voltage control wiring and cable installation
- Experience wiring HVAC equipment - thermostats, temperature sensors, control panels
- Able to install, bend and run conduit (EMT and other raceway systems)
- Able to read electrical drawings and blueprints
- Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and safe electrical installation practices
- Able to work safely from scissor lifts and at heights
- Commercial electrical construction experience
