Licensed Iowa apprentice electricians needed in Cedar Rapids for commercial, industrial and institutional electrical projects. This is the licensed rate: $58 an hour plus $135 a day per diem for qualifying candidates.
Hours are 50 a week with a 6:15 AM start, and the project is expected to run about eight months.
The work is conduit and cable tray, coordinating and assisting on large cable pulls, switchgear, transformers and distribution panels, fire alarm and control systems, wiring, terminations and equipment installation. You should be able to read blueprints and electrical drawings and work with minimal supervision while holding the line on safety and quality.
Commercial or industrial electrical experience is preferred. Reliable transportation and a dependable work history are expected.
If you have apprentice-level experience but do not hold the Iowa license, the same crew is hiring at $47 an hour plus $100 a day per diem.
